Judge Lancelin's Re-Election Vision
This campaign is about more than politics; it is about people and our shared commitment to a future where opportunity is a promise for everyone in Harris County.
Throughout my 28-year career with the Office of the Attorney General and my tenure on the bench, I have been dedicated to delivering practical solutions and restoring trust in our judicial system. The 245th has seen transformative progress in providing resources for self-represented individuals and ensuring daily access to the court. My mission remains to ensure every resident has a fair and meaningful opportunity to present their case.
Moving forward, my re-election campaign will focus on these core priorities:
- Foster Unity: Making unbiased, thoughtful, and respectful decisions to safeguard the values of every family in our community.
- Thriving Communities: Strengthening families by expanding available community resources.
- Accountability: Consistently and fairly applying the law to safeguard all families.
- Transparency: Maintaining open access to the court for everyone.
I am proud of my proven track record as a public servant and look forward to continuing this work to build a stronger, more unified Harris County. I would be honored to have your support in this mission.
Angela Lancelin

Meet Judge Lancelin
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
I graduated from the University of San Diego (B.S., 1988) and Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law (J.D., 1992).
I am a single parent of a college freshman, Aedan, who remains the best thing I have ever done.
From 1992 to 1995, I worked with the Lone Star/Gulf Coast Legal Foundation as an entry-level attorney, providing legal services in family law, landlord-tenant disputes, Social Security claims, contract disputes, and probate matters.
From 1995 to 2022, I served with the Office of the Attorney General in Child Support Services as a designated Special Litigator. My primary assignments included complex litigation for the enforcement and collection of child support, as well as cases involving bankruptcy, probate, CPS, tax liens, and foreclosure.
I was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1992 and am licensed in the Southern and Northern Bankruptcy Districts of Texas.
The 245th District Court of Harris County is a family court. Our case load is diverse and can be complex, responsible for divorce, annulment, request for name change, adoption, adjudication of parentage, modifications and termination of the parent child relationship.
It is the primary goal to resolve disputes between the parties if they are unable to finalize a case without court intervention.

My judicial philosophy is simple: apply the law fairly, listen carefully and remember behind every case are real people with real lives.
I believe in a judicial system that is fair, efficient, and accessible to everyone.
I have spent my entire legal career serving the public, spanning more than 30 years of family law experience. I continue to learn how the law can be applied equally and fairly by ensuring every person before me is treated with dignity and respect.
